Clinician (Primary) - Youth Mental Health
Location: Darwin, NT
Salary: HPSS 3.1 + Super + Salary Packaging + 5 weeks annual leave
Full-time | Monday to Friday (Includes one late shift per week)

About the Role & Organisation
Join a well-respected mental health service that provides early intervention support for young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties. As a Clinician (Primary), you'll deliver high-quality screening, assessment, and therapeutic interventions to young people and their families. You'll also contribute to community engagement, outreach, and collaborative care planning with internal and external stakeholders.
About the Service
This role is based within a headspace service, a leading provider of youth mental health care. The team delivers a range of psychological and early intervention services through a strength-based, trauma-informed approach that respects cultural diversity and lived experience.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Support & Interventions
* Conduct bio-psycho-social assessments and provide evidence-based interventions.
* Deliver individual and group therapy, including single-session interventions.
* Conduct risk assessments and develop collaborative safety and care plans.
* Ensure youth-friendly, culturally responsive, and family-inclusive service delivery.
Teamwork & Collaboration
* Work within a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care.
* Support outreach programs, community awareness sessions, and service promotion.
* Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to data collection standards.
Quality & Professional Development
* Participate in clinical supervision, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Support policy development, compliance, and best practice implementation.
Skills & Requirements
* Qualifications in Allied Health - Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, or Social Work.
* Registration with AHPRA or professional membership (AASW for social workers).
* Minimum 1 year of experience in mental health, youth services, or related field.
* Strong skills in assessment, risk management, and safety planning.
* Experience working with diverse communities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people.
* NT Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card) & National Police Check.
* NT Driver's License and willingness to travel as required.
