Make a difference in aged care with a dedicated, supportive team (Permanent Part-time positions available) About Central Gippsland Health Central Gippsland Health (CGH) is a sub-regional health service and the major provider of health and aged care services in the Wellington Shire. CGH is located in the City of Sale which is 215 km east of Melbourne. The City of Sale is an ideal access point for the magnificent Gippsland Lakes, 90 Mile Beach and the Victorian Alps.
CGH provides acute care as part of an integrated service delivery model across Wellington Shire and beyond. The service provides beds across three campuses (Sale, Maffra and Heyfield). Acute services include a full-time emergency department, critical care unit, neonatal critical care unit, three operating theatres, day procedure unit, oncology and dialysis services in addition to general medical and services and sub-acute services including rehabilitation.
CGH is also a leading teaching hospital, affiliated with Monash University's School of Rural Health and provides placements and clinical experience for students.
About the Department Wilson Lodge is a 50-bed residential aged care facility offering emergency respite, planned short-term respite, and long-term placements to meet the diverse needs of the community. The dedicated team at Wilson Lodge provides high-quality care, adhering to the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission guidelines and national standards, ensuring all residents receive the support they need.
About the Role This role focuses on delivering personalised, high-quality care to residents, working alongside registered nurses, allied health professionals, medical staff, families, and residents to develop and deliver individualised care plans. The role aligns with Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission guidelines and national standards, ensuring quality care and safety.
Key Responsibilities Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, resident-focused care that meets aged care standards. Effectively prioritise and manage multiple demands, responding appropriately to urgent clinical needs. Apply clear, rational decision-making when handling complex issues and maintain composure during problem-solving. Support Registered Nurses in prioritising resident care needs efficiently to create a positive work environment that meets community expectations. Adhere to clinical quality and safety standards and collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders.
