This role is full time, ongoing position and is only open to internal BHI employees. As the Director- Academic Quality, you will provide strong engagement and high level leadership across all areas of BHI to ensure high quality teaching and assessment practices. Working in partnership with key internal, external and government stakeholders, you will provide strategic advice with regard to regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance with educational governance in relation to Quality Registration requirements, Quality Management Systems and Audit and Governance reporting including but not limited to Vocational Education (ASQA and DJSIR); Higher Education (TEQSA); VRQA; ACFE and CRICOS. You will be responsible for identifying gaps and leading quality uplift to support the delivery of compliant and quality education across the organisation. You will have the opportunity to lead the implementation of BHI’s Strategic Plan and Education Strategy in relation to education governance and quality functions; this involves establishing and maintaining productive relationships with government agencies and internal stakeholders responsible for program delivery and ensuring that registration, accreditation and quality requirements are met. The position reports to the Executive Director Academic Governance and is a member of the Boards of Studies for both Higher Education and Vocational Education. About You: Current Box Hill Institute employee Relevant postgraduate educational qualification Risk/governance qualifications and/or demonstrated experience Diploma of Vocational Education & Training (Practice) Certificate IV in Training & Assessment High level understanding of risk management principles and risk mitigation controls in the development and management of governance frameworks, ideally within academic governance Demonstrated application and understanding of academic governance and registration requirements in the educational sector; demonstrated ability to develop, implement and review policy and procedures relating to educational governance Provides strong and effective leadership to drive change. Communicates a vision that generates enthusiasm and commitment and builds capability. Recognises and rewards behaviour that is aligned with organisational objectives, values and culture. Models the behaviour expected of others.
