Online Lecturer - Sociology and Criminology (Level B)Based in UniSA Online at the City West campusStarting salary: $112,892 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)About the Role
You will work with academic staff to support the development and delivery of curriculum for UniSA Online's sociology and criminology programs. Key responsibilities include applying discipline-related expertise to deliver high-quality online teaching to undergraduate students, contributing to the digital transformation of courses, and coordination and day-to-day management of online tutoring staff. This role will specifically focus on UniSA Online's sociology portfolio, with a particular focus in criminology.
Core Responsibilities Contribute to the design, development and teaching of course curricula and materials for new, fully online, undergraduate programsWork collaboratively to design and implement learning activities and teaching methodologiesUndertake teaching and course coordination, including the moderation of assessment activities, learning support and evaluationProvide academic support, mentoring and advice to studentsUndertake administrative functions connected to courses taughtEssential Skills and Experience A postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline, such as sociology or criminology, or relevant work experienceEvidence of recent teaching experience and discipline knowledge within a relevant fieldDemonstrated passion for and proficiency in undertaking teaching duties, including the design and preparation of online teaching activities and resourcesDemonstrated knowledge and experience of a wide range of education technologies such as learning management systems (LMS – e.g. Moodle or Canvas), and virtual classroomsUnderstanding and experience in using a range of contemporary teaching methodologies, including the ability to develop supportive online learning environmentsBenefits
