This role is pivotal to the Legal and Risk Administration team, delivering exceptional support to MDHS and STEM Directors and their teams. By managing the lifecycle of legal matters, including case file management, document processing, database updates, and administrative tasks, this position ensures seamless operations and efficient support for the Legal Services portfolio.
Your responsibilities will include: Diary and Administrative Support: Managing executive calendars, providing administrative support, and coordinating internal/external communications.Legal Matter Management: Overseeing the legal matter lifecycle, including high-level triaging of incoming matters, document management, database updates, and client liaison.Operational Support: Contributing to team efficiency through administrative tasks, project support, and financial management and continuous improvement initiatives.You may be a great fit if: We seek a highly organised and service-oriented individual with strong administrative and interpersonal skills. Ideal candidates possess advanced computer proficiency, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Experience in legal or higher education settings is preferred but not essential. Previous experience with paralegal duties also highly regarded. The successful candidate will be a collaborative team player with a proactive approach and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
You may also: Relevant tertiary qualification and experience, or a combination of relevant experience and education/training.Previous experience working as legal assistant or legal secretary.Advanced skills in a range of computer applications, including email, electronic calendars, word processing, spreadsheets and databases, document management systems and the ability to learn new applications, with a focus on document management.What we offer you!
