Our Mobility Electronics Department is responsible for developing Body Computer Modules, Secure Central Gateways and Vehicle Security Products. With capabilities covering end-to-end the complete Development and New Product Introduction process we are managing and implementing global platform projects, tailored for our Original Equipment customers.

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled proactive Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead and drive technical design topics, ensuring the successful development and introduction of high-quality products into production. In this key role, you will be responsible for the mechanical product development and design of new products, components, and systems, with a strong focus on scalability, quality, and efficiency. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leading mechanical product development and design activities, ensuring functionality, scalability, and efficient manufacturing solutions.
* Creating detailed 3D CAD models and technical drawings using Creo.
* Applying GD&T principles and ensure all technical documentation meets international standards.
* Planning and tracking verification and validation activities, ensuring compliance with customer and internal specifications.
* Investigating and recommending actions to enhance product design, reduce costs, improve quality, and increase productivity.
* Collaborating cross-functionally to facilitate the timely and high-quality introduction of products into production.
* Identifying potential risks early and implement effective solutions.
* Supporting the transfer of technical knowledge and best practices within the team.
* Occasional domestic or international travel may be required.
Qualifications
We are looking for a conscientious professional with the ability to work autonomously, grow the business and establish effective relationships with customers. The successful candidate will have / demonstrate the following:
* Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
* Significant experience in mechanical engineering, product development, and design.
* Proven experience with designing of plastic injection moulded, aluminium die cast, and sheet metal stamped components.
* Strong hands-on technical competence and ability to execute design and development projects.
* Demonstrated expertise in 3D CAD modelling and technical drawing creation using Creo or Catia.
* Comprehensive knowledge and application of GD&T.
* Experience designing and developing electronic components for automotive or equivalent high-volume manufacturing industries is preferred.
* Ability to identify and resolve problems early, working autonomously while managing priorities.
* Excellent communication, organisational, time management, decision-making, and collaboration skills.
* Understanding of traditional mechanical development life-cycles and agile methodologies.
