Senior Manager, Risk Transformation and ChangeSydney, NSW, AustraliaJob DescriptionPermanent role.Sydney based – flexible working options.Excellent opportunity to join Westpac’s Risk Division.How will I help?As the Senior Manager, Risk Transformation & Change, Business Controls & Monitoring, you will provide high quality first line risk advice and support CIB through the project portfolio and transformation program. You will play a key role in supporting the business to manage the control environment in accordance with policies, risk strategy, regulatory obligations, and risk appetite of the Group. The role is transformation and delivered risk focused, candidates should be proficient in risk in change, senior stakeholder engagement, operational risk management, have exposure working with technology and transformation teams to resolve complex technology, process and operations matters.The team comprises of 4 individuals providing risk advice to CIB with a heavy digital, transformation and technology focus. The team has a great reputation for high quality delivery, constructive challenge, pragmatic risk advice and is seen as a business partner that supports the CIB business to deliver transformation and change safely into the Westpac Group. In this role you will:Provide advice and oversight over risk assessments, controls, incident and issue management related to transformation or change to ensure that risk management practices within CIB’s initiatives are compliant to Westpac policies and within risk appetite.Partner with stakeholders to educate, uplift and embed strong risk management practices and risk culture.Deliver uplift and continual improvement to optimise the control framework, with a focus on automation.Measure, report and facilitate discussion on risk management practices to senior management.Support the business to manage non-financial risk metrics and compliance with Group policies.Conduct project risk management (delivery and delivered risks) is compliant with Group policies with positive delivered risk outcomes.Conduct high quality risk assessments and management reporting, driving good risk discussions and outcomes.Contribute towards risk transformation strategy for CIB and CIB BCM.What do I need?To be successful in this role you will have 5+ years’ experience in compliance or risk with a financial services organisation. You will have experience in operational risk management and experience in project risk management and or risk-in-change. It is desirable that you have experience in technology risk management and experience in corporate and or institutional banking.
