Our client is a central agency of the Australian Government, with an important role in supporting the government's ongoing priorities through public sector resource management, governance, and accountability frameworks. Based at our client's centrally located office, you will have the opportunity to be part of projects to enhance internal systems and enable the department to effectively deliver services to the government.
The Role
Our client is looking for an experienced?junior Project Manager who can support the leadership team and drive projects and change activities. The role will be responsible for delivering several small ICT projects.
Proposed Personnel should be motivated, self-starters who are able to work independently as well as collaboratively within the broader team. The successful candidate will champion the buyer's program of work and be responsible for: The application of project management techniques to ensure project delivery on time and within budget.
Specific duties will include:

5. The conduct of Conducting procurement and management of goods and services associated with each project.
6. The provision of advice and subject matter expertise in ICT project management and stakeholder engagement.
7. Developing and managing positive and productive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to deliver outcomes.
8. Collaboration with others and negotiating to ensure successful outcomes
9. The development of project documentation within identified timeframes.
10. The Documentation of and monitoring of project risks and issues and escalating as appropriate.
11. The preparation progress reports.
12. The facilitation of progress meetings and workshops.
13. The management of multiple projects concurrently.
Skills + Experience
14. Previous experience working as a project manager
15. Strong communication skills both oral and written
16. Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining productive working relationships, including working collaboratively with others.
17. Proposed Personnel should have a Negative Vetting One (NV1) level AGSVA Security Clearance from the commencement and duration of any subsequent arrangement.
