About the companyOur client is a reputable FMCG business based in the southeastern suburbs of Melbourne, who are looking for immediate support within their finance team.About the roleThis position is a 6-month part time contract role (0.6 FTE) with the opportunity for extension working 2 days out of their offices in Scoresby and 1 day working from home. The role of the Finance Analyst ensures accurate, timely, and transparent financial information to support management decisions, including the preparation of daily, monthly, and forecasting reports. They also maintain data integrity, support budgeting processes, and assist the Finance Business Partnering team with financial and analytical tasks.Responsibilities:Manage the coordination of month end, forecasting, and budgeting reporting for the entire business, including inputs and reconciliations in PAL, ONE, and BC, ensuring timely completion.Prepare monthly overhead expenditure reports, along with Forecasting and Budgeting, including detailed commentary for management reporting and group submissions, ensuring accuracy and punctuality.Generate monthly advertising, promotion, and trade investment reports, tracking actuals against forecasts. Support the Commercial Business Partner by setting up project codes and preparing reports for their analysis and performance management, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.Participate in ad-hoc projects and handle additional tasks as requested, completing them as needed.About youDegree in Business/Accounting.2-3 Years of relevant accounting /analyst experienceShow proficiency in period-end preparation and coordination.Exhibit experience in preparing reports and providing insightful commentary and analysis.FMCG experience is considered a plus.Proven intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office.Preferred familiarity with MFG Pro, PAL, Cognos, online banking software, and financial accounting systems.How to applyClick on the apply now button below and we will be in touch.Six Degrees Executive acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we work and live.
