Cafe Manager
A unique opportunity has arisen to lead a brand new venue in Melbourne's Eastern Suburbs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operational Management: Hands-on management of the daily running of the cafe from opening to closing.
* Team Leadership: Directing and motivating the team to uphold all of the values of the business while creating a positive and inclusive workplace.
* Customer Experience: Leading by example and setting the standard for seamless customer service and professionalism.
* Training + Development: Accountable for all ongoing training of standards of service, processes and systems, health, safety and product knowledge.
* Quality Control: Ensuring consistency in the quality of the product, setting, maintaining and enhancing standards.
* Compliance + Safety: Adhering to all health and safety rules and regulations and maintaining optimal working conditions and expectations.
* Financial Management: Managing costs, driving sales and controlling budgets, wastage and resources efficiently.
Requirements:
* Proven industry experience with at least 2-3 years in a similar role.
* A strong understanding of cafe and catering operations from customer service to inventory management and cost control.
* A passion for great food and amazing coffee.
* An excellent customer experience focus, ensuring high standards are consistently met.
* Strong financial acumen to effectively manage costs and drive business growth.
* The ability to work flexible hours including weekends and some evenings if required.
