About the Role
We are seeking a Product Designer to join our Ausmelt TSL Smelting team. This role is responsible for Product Design for Ausmelt Top Submerged Lance (TSL) Smelting technology as part of the Non-Ferrous and Smelting Recycling Product Group.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct product design for Ausmelt TSL smelting technology with focus on smelter equipment and machinery, including development of new designs for existing products.
* Prepare mechanical equipment 3D models and 2D drawings for Ausmelt TSL smelting technology products and equipment.
* Support all phases of product management and product development including conceptual design, basic design and detail design (including manufacturing and assembly stage documentation) using applicable standards, technical specifications, vendor data, etc.
* Coordinate with the TSL product manager and engineering team to incorporate discipline requirements into the designs.
* Support conceptual design and drafting for TSL product sales, marketing and proposals.
* Manage TSL product CAD library and support standardization of products.
You Will Need
* A Technology Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering design or related field.
* At least 5 years of 2D and 3D equipment and plant design and drafting experience, in medium to large industry projects.
* A high level of planning and organizing skills.
* The ability to self-manage, work as part of a team and deliver multiple projects concurrently.
* Good communication & presentation skills.
* CAD software: SolidWorks, AutoCAD.
* Experience with Enovia PLM system is advantageous.
