We are seeking a Chief Growth and Development Officer with proven experience managing large-scale projects and driving growth to help shape the future of an exciting business in the resources sector.
About the Role:
Reporting to the CEO, this is a high-impact executive role responsible for driving business growth, new project development, and commercial strategy. You will take the lead with key commercial partners and drive sustainable project development.
Key Responsibilities Lead the identification and development of new projects, acquisitions, and partnerships to support long-term business growth.Drive sustainable project development, ensuring environmental, cultural, and social values are fully integrated at all stages.Own relationships with key commercial partners e.g. major contractors involved in development, construction, and operations, ensuring they deliver to agreed targets and safety, environmental, and community standards.Develop and execute the company's commercial strategy, including pricing, contract negotiations, and customer relationships across domestic and export markets.Partner with legal and regulatory stakeholders to manage commercial and environmental approvals, ensuring compliance and alignment with the company's sustainability and ESG commitments.Identify and champion innovation and operational efficiency initiatives, particularly around decarbonisation, water management, and community benefit programs.Represent the company with government, Indigenous groups, local communities, customers, and industry associations, fostering strong, transparent relationships.What We're Looking For Significant executive leadership experience in mining or an adjacent capital intensive business.Proven success in leading business growth strategies, project development, and commercial negotiations, particularly in resources, infrastructure or bulk commodities.Demonstrated experience managing contractors, with strong oversight of compliance, performance, and alignment with environmental and community expectations.Strong commercial and legal acumen, with the ability to manage risk, negotiate complex agreements, and identify new value-creation opportunities.Highly developed stakeholder management skills, with experience in building trusted relationships with Indigenous communities, government regulators, landholders, and environmental groups.A collaborative, forward-thinking leadership style with a passion for driving responsible resource development and delivering shared value to all stakeholders.You may have a background in consulting, banking, corporate development, or law, and ideally have experience in mining, infrastructure, or an adjacent sector.Apply below or call Simon Tobin on 0414 630 158.
