About The Opportunity:
You will play a pivotal role in optimising the financial performance and return on investment (ROI) of Council's diverse commercial asset portfolio and procurement activities.
In this influential position, you will:
* Develop and implement innovative commercial strategies to maximise the performance and profitability of our commercial assets.
* Deliver high-level strategic guidance and support to Council on all matters related to commercial assets and procurement.
* Inspire and guide the Commercial Services team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
About You:
You should have:
* A tertiary degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Economics or related field.
* Extensive experience in the preparation of technical internal and external reports relating to commercial advice and business analysis.
* Excellent financial modelling, analytical, and forecasting skills, with a focus on ROI analysis.
* A strong background in managing and optimising asset portfolios.
* Demonstrated ability to communicate complex, sensitive and strategic issues to a variety of stakeholders.
* Demonstrated team/project management skills including the ability to successfully coordinate multiple strategic projects.
* Experience and knowledge in strategic procurement, supply and contract management practises would be highly regarded.
* Experience and knowledge of Fleet Management practises is desirable.
* Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountants (CA) membership (desired).
