The project was established in late 2020 as a joint initiative between Monash Health and Alfred Health to explore options for a shared pathology service model. The Project aims to deliver a shared Alfred/Monash Pathology service. It will consider the benefits and risks of this venture considering previous explorative work carried by the two health services as well as information gathered throughout the project development. The project will run in conjunction with broader pathology system reform being undertaken by the Department of Health.
