You’ll begin with a comprehensive induction program, complete with support from your Program Manager, Mentor, and Regional Manager to ensure you’re set up for success.Service operating times: Before school care, 7:00am – 9:00am, After school care, 2:15pm -6:00pm, Admin time, 9.25 hours per week – Total 38 hours per week.Staffing structure: This is a large service, and TeamKids has put together a unique staffing structure to support the needs of this school, to ensure the utmost support is provided. This will include a full-time Wellbeing and Inclusion Officer (YOU), a full-time Program Manager, full-time Director of Service (x2), Second in Charge (x2), Permanent part-time educators (x10), and a pool of casual educators.Salary Range: $72,000 - $75,000 plus super!School Specifics: This is one service, that caters for two separate schools, all on the same site. Beautiful, spacious environment with a mix of dedicated spaces and a big shared hall. This is a large service, with joint facilities. Commercial kitchen on site. Working with two schools that are super keen and excited to work collaboratively.As the Well-being and Inclusion Officer, you’ll:Assist on the floor with Inclusion and Behaviour management practices, supporting the educators with any behaviour management strategies and guiding children with their emotional regulation.Communicate with families about their individual children's behaviour and inclusion needs as needed.Evaluate, develop and deliver evidence-based support plans in collaboration with Program Manager and Directors of services.Develop meaningful goals and practical strategies utilising TeamKids and schools positive behaviour support framework, and with a commitment to eliminate restrictive practices.Develop Inclusion Support funding cases with families in collaboration with our Child Health and Wellbeing team.Develop Service Inclusion Plans and collaborate with external Inclusion support agencies.Build the knowledge, capacity, and strengths of educators in their behaviour management practices.Attend professional development and training to ensure behaviour management practices and inclusion.Work closely with the inclusion and wellbeing teams in both schools to ensure aligned practices within the program.You’ll be perfect for this role if you’re:Familiar with positive behaviour support frameworks and practices.Compassionate, have a positive mindset, solution-focused, and thrive in a collaborative environment.Experienced in working with individuals with complex behaviours and can stay calm in challenging situations.Possess excellent communication skills and can work effectively with a variety of stakeholders.NDIS experience is desired but not necessary.A big kid at heart who thrives in a lively, fast-paced environment.A natural leader with great communication skills – from chatting with kids to meeting with principals.Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude.Passionate about ensuring that all children are respected, heard and included.Energetic, enthusiastic, and all about FUN!Qualifications:Desired qualifications – studying towards or completed a diploma level in Play therapy, Occupational Therapy, behaviour therapy, or similar fields. Paired with experience working in the field.
