This position is offered on either a full or part time basis and is suitable for Occupational Therapists at all levels. Talk to us about your preferred days of work
As an Occupational Therapist you will:
* Provide timely, evidenced based, person centred therapy services to children and adults with a disability within a multi-disciplinary team.
* Manage a mixed caseload with complex and varied needs, working with customers, their families and carers to identify strengths, skills and goals.
* Use appropriate assessment tools and methods to assess strengths and areas of development, in order to identify suitable intervention strategies.
* Be able to deliver therapy in a variety of environments
* Champion and promote the Northcott values; ‘innovative, respectful and brave’.
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy with AHPRA registration
Knowledge of strengths-based practice, as well as family and person centred approaches.
* Experience delivering evidence based therapy to a paediatric, adolescent and/or adult caseload.
* Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload and administrative responsibilities in an autonomous, efficient and effective manner.
* An understanding of the NDIS framework and working within a fee for service model is desired.
* Be able to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
* NDIS Worker Check (or willingness to obtain)
* NSW & VIC Working with Children Check.
* Current First Aid Certificate (including CPR) or willingness to obtain.
* Current Driver’s License with access to own vehicle (reimbursement for KM’s is available)
* Certified proof of Working Rights in Australia - Passport or Australian Birth Certificate.
* Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module
* Current First Aid & CPR – can be obtained/renewed after you commence.

Northcott Therapy provides support to children, young people and adults with a range of disabilities including intellectual disability, physical disability, autism and global developmental delay.
