About the role The Course Advising Resource Coordinator works as part of the UNE Course Advising team.
This role is responsible for liaising with other UNE teams and Schools to ensure clarity and accuracy in the advice provided to students through course advising.
Based on these interactions, the Course Advising Resource Coordinator leads the development, publication, and maintenance of resources that support both staff and students involved in course advising.
These resources include the Course Advising website, video guides, reflective questionnaires, completion strategies, planning templates, and School-specific advising guidelines.
As a senior member of the Course Advising team, the Course Advising Resource Coordinator also serves as the point of internal escalation for complex student matters and will lead the team in the absence of the Student Engagement Advisor.
About you To be successful in this role, you will have: Excellent communication skills in order to collaborate seamlessly with teams and schools to deliver accurate, consistent course advice.
Experience in creating and maintaining clear, user-friendly advising resources (e.g., websites, video guides, templates).
Proven ability to lead and support a team, including acting as a point of escalation for analysing and providing effective solutions for complex student challenges.
High level of accuracy in reviewing and updating advising materials to ensure correctness.
Skilled in building relationships with academic and administrative staff to align advising resources with university needs.
Proficiency in content management systems and tools to develop and maintain online resources.
Flexibility to adapt advising resources and processes based on evolving academic policies and student needs.
Ability to assess feedback, evaluate resource effectiveness, and make data-driven improvements.
