You may have been part of some big projects before, but this work is legacy-building.Your skills will be instrumental in designing and delivering cutting-edge solutions that enhance mobility, sustainability, and safety for millions of people.In this role, you'll:Be responsible for developing and delivering bridge or traffic infrastructure and/or maintenance projects in order to achieve road safety, asset management and network efficiency objectives.The Project Engineer Level 1-2 role will be responsible for:Managing project and delivery process including the delivery of direct control and contract works to ensure nominated bridge or traffic infrastructure and/or maintenance projects are developed and delivered to agreed time, cost, quality and scope requirements.Managing the investigation and design process by developing project briefs and cost estimates, procuring and overseeing service providers, monitoring and reviewing ongoing work programs to make effective use of resources and deliver agreed objectives.Preparing contract documents for bridge works projects, including technical specifications to engage, administer and deliver contract works and ensure efficient project delivery.Implementing effective cost management systems to ensure efficient financial management of projects.Implementing appropriate procedures, guidelines, processes and practices, in collaboration with TfNSW specialists, to deliver a high level of workplace health and safety and environmental management on projects and contracts.The Project Engineer Level 1-2 role is suitable for entry level graduate engineers and also for more experienced engineers. The pay scale for each of these roles will be negotiated with the successful applicant according to their skills and work experience.This is an ongoing full-time role located at Wagga Wagga.This position involves project delivery, site work and travel across the Riverina district and at times you will be required to work away from home in order to deliver remote projects.Transport has flexible working arrangements in place, however as this is a delivery focused role responsible for leading teams you will need to be available to work from other locations within the region.About youYou hold a four-year civil/structural engineering degree from an Australian University or equivalent overseas qualifications.You have knowledge or experience in the technical aspects of materials, equipment and techniques used in bridge maintenance and construction.You have some knowledge in the design, construction and/or maintenance of structures and the ability to develop bridge maintenance projects.You have ability in the analysis of bridge information, interpretation of bridge plans, estimating and budgeting.You will be a proactive analytical thinker and possess high level communication skills.
