Registrar in Medical Oncology | Palmerston North | New Zealand
Seeking a junior doctor at the level of PGY4 or above who has completed RACP basic training for an accredited training position in medical oncology.
Position Highlights:
* Full time role in premier healthcare institution
* Hospital has a dedicated Intensive Care Unit, Coronary Care Unit, Regional Cancer Treatment Service, and one of the largest trauma centres nationwide
* Provides industry leading specialised care and emergency treatment
* Regional tertiary Cancer Treatment Service providing Medical Oncology, Haematology and Radiation Oncology
* Teaching Hospital affiliated with 2 medical schools
* University city in the North Island of New Zealand
* 40 hour week plus on call duties 1 in 11
* Accredited for 24 months of advanced training for Medical Oncology
* Outpatient clinics: local clinics and shared attendance at regional clinics
* Flexible employment terms of up to 24 months
* Excellent CME facilities with weekly structured teaching
* Full support from senior medical staff

Professional Requirements:
* Medical Degree
* Eligibility for Medical Council of New Zealand registration under the general scope
Remuneration:
* Competitive remuneration package based upon level of experience and qualifications comprising basic salary and allowances NZD 120,000 - 250,000 PA (NZRDA or STONZ scales)
* Refund of medical practice expenses
* Superannuation 6%
* 6 weeks annual leave
* Access to a thorough continuing medical education programme
* Opportunities to participate in research projects, pursue subspecialist fields of interest and become involved with medical student and junior medical officer postgraduate education
* Relocation costs for international physicians
