Full-time Position Role Overview:Act as an experienced practitioner for Pipeline and Civil Engineering matters within the Corporation by providing technical support to the Civil & Structural Engineering team, delivering a high professional level of technical investigation, design, audit, and advisory services related to all aspects of water and wastewater standards and infrastructure.Key Accountabilities: Safety:Be aware of and apply roles and responsibilities in accordance with WHS Roles and Responsibilities Procedure.Take responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of yourself and others, including your own fitness for work.Contribute to industry-leading WHS performance across the entire corporation.Drive increased awareness in the Safety in Design (SID) process through coordination of an effective SID consultation and delivery plan.Consult the business as the technical practitioner So Far As Is Reasonably Practicable (SFAIRP) about health and safety risks.Demonstrate safety leadership by role modeling the safety behaviors and culture defined by the Engineering Safety Framework.Pipeline Engineering Design Capability:Provide specialist investigation, design, and technical auditing of pipeline projects to meet SAW's technical requirements.Act as an experienced practitioner in Pipeline discipline matters.Contribute towards the development of technical standards, guidelines, and best practices of pipeline engineering.Provide technical leadership on Safety in Design (SiD) matters for the Pipeline discipline team.Ensure the SAW 'Safety in Design' process is incorporated into Engineering design processes.Civil Engineering Design Capability:Provide civil engineering investigation, design, and technical auditing of civil projects.Have sound knowledge in hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater, and roads.Support other technical disciplines by providing civil engineering inputs.Customer Service:Provide timely, accurate, and adequate information and documentation to customers.Seek and initiate value-add initiatives for the Civil & Structural discipline team.Conduct training/workshop presentations as required.People and Culture:Work effectively within the Civil & Structural discipline engineering team and across multi-disciplinary teams.Participate regularly in one-on-one and team meetings.Support the Civil & Structural discipline Knowledge Base and continuous development.Engage and collaborate with business partners and stakeholders to ensure engineering outcomes meet expectations.Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required: Tertiary Structural Engineering qualification specialized in Pipeline Engineering (Essential)Design software knowledge such as Caesar or Microstran (Desirable)Affiliation and Recognition of discipline expertise by Engineers Australia (Desirable)Detailed knowledge of pipeline engineering standards and practices (Essential)Experience in investigation and design of Civil works (Desirable)Demonstrated experience in complex engineering investigations and designs (Desirable)Experience in the utilisation and development of technical and infrastructure standards (Essential)Special Conditions: Flexible hours and some after hours as required, with some intra and interstate travel (mandatory).Medical clearances and immunisations may be required (mandatory).Initial and/or subsequent clearance checks may be required (mandatory).To be considered for the role, click the 'apply' button or contact Yash Jain at 03 8680 4238 or email (email protected) and quote the job reference number.Paxus values diversity and welcomes applications from Indigenous Australians, people from diverse cultural backgrounds, and people living with a disability.If you require adjustments to the recruitment process, please contact us. #J-18808-Ljbffr
