Description Great permanent opportunity in Sydney location to transition into Solution Design role Be a part of an elite Solution Design team comprising of Senior and Principal Solution Designers Opportunity to learn and innovate with new technologies How will I help? As a Solution Designer, you'll be responsible to produce high-level solution designs for business-critical applications in consultation with technology and business stakeholders. Being part of Digital and Consumer Finance technology team, you'll work towards transforming the business vision into reality by providing optimal solutions to achieve defined business outcomes. It will be an opportunity to work in a fast-paced and scaled agile environment while contributing to major transformation programs in Product Origination, Servicing and Loyalty. Key accountabilities : Driving, exploring options, being creative and basically doing what it takes to achieve an optimal solution Takes ownership of the high-level design, while adhering to architectural principles and industry best practices Work with architects and business stakeholders to translate business and architecture requirements into solution design Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure alignment, effective communication, and seamless delivery of solutions Create clear and concise documentation, including design documents, sequence diagrams, and technical specifications, which are easily understandable by applications designers and developers Support business in coming up with high level estimates for feature delivery Provide expert technical guidance and support to development teams wherever required and oversee the low-level design, build and testing What’s in it for me? Experience: Essential 8 years of experience in software solution delivery Experience as Solution Designer/ Senior Engineer or similar role with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills Experience in developing Java based micro services/Restful APIs and eventing using Kafka/MQ Excellent analysis and design skills with technical problem-solving Understanding of Design patterns including authentication & authorisation patterns Extensive understanding of system design and development Desirable Understanding of retail banking product originations (preferably Cards/Personal Loans) and servicing Degree or equivalent in science, computer science, information technology Knowledge of automation and efficiency improvement processes CI/CD tools i.e. Git, bitbucket, Jenkins or bamboo Financial Services Industry experience Cloud Skills What’s it like to work there?
