Location:You will deliver the management of a residential accommodation portfolio for Hospitals South
The Role:The Property Officer delivers the management of a residential accommodation portfolio for Hospitals South, including responsibility for the management of accommodation contracts, coordination of tenancies, furnishing, service connection, maintenance and cleaning. You will be the single point of contact for all issues in relation to accommodation for the areas, including liaison, negotiation, and issue resolution, with internal and external stakeholders and tenants.
Key Responsibilities:High-level interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication skills and the demonstrated ability to effectively establish and manage relationships and use judgement and assertiveness with stakeholders including health managers, vendors, agency staff and contractors.High level organisational skills including financial management, initiative, prioritisation, adaptability and flexibility to develop appropriate solutions and the capacity to deal with pressure, ambiguity, change and tight deadlines.Knowledge and experience in real estate or property management, together with the understanding of relevant legislation, including the Residential Tenancies Act 1997 and Residential Tenancies Regulations 1997.The Team: The Residential Accommodation team is a Statewide team with property officers in each of the three regions and a Project Manager based in Hobart. The team forms part of the Department of Health's Accommodation Services team within the Infrastructure Division. The property officers are often some of the first staff members that new employees interact with, so these roles are critical for the attraction and retention of staff.
Details of Appointment:Fixed term, full time (with on-call), day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing 6 January 2025 until 30 June 2025. *Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

$79,529 to $91,517 per annum + our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
