About the role:
Bring your passion and current experience and knowledge in the Tourism & Hospitality industry and join our Armidale Campus as Class Preparation Assistant. The Class Preparation Assistant is responsible for all hygiene and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and compliance criteria around responsible storage and disposal of food, as well as preparation of classroom commodities and food preparation, classroom cleaning and set up. Your day-to-day activities will include shopping, washing up, quality control of goods and managing equipment levels.
This is a Permanent part-time part-year opportunity, 34.5 hours per week for 41 weeks per year.
About you:
You are a self-starter who is willing to be hands on to support learning outcomes and delivery in the classroom. You are excited to share your hospitality industry knowledge and experience with others and available for Permanent Part time work. You will have:
Essential:
• Demonstrated experience in stores procurement and commercial kitchen procedures and processes including the knowledge of hospitality equipment operation and maintenance.
• Current formal qualification in Food Handling and a knowledge of HACCP principles or the ability to obtain within a specified time.
• Ability to address and meet focus capabilities as stated in the Position Description.
Desirable:
• Skills in the use of relevant information and communication technologies, in particular Excel.

Salary $49,735.00 – $62,112.00 (pro rata/this salary will be based on the part time hours you complete)
