Our client is in the delivery phase looking to bring in a Deployment lead to successfully roll out the Information Content and Records solution and Correspondence Management Projects.
In broad terms, the Deployment Lead will plan and manage all ECM solution deployment activities including work planning, scheduling, metrics, pilots, and resources. The role will plan and prepare the overall deployment approach and deployment artefacts, including deployment strategies, and ensure that all deployment activities are executed efficiently and effectively. The Deployment Lead will play a significant role in leading deployment teams through all stages of the ECM solution roll-out before transitioning the clients sites to business as usual.
The role encompasses proactive engagement and communication with business representatives; program and project team members; ICT subject matter experts; and implementation partners. A significant component of this role is successfully working with business representatives and implementation partners throughout the deployment lifecycle. The Deployment Lead needs to collaborate across all levels of the organisation and must demonstrate the ability to be flexible and adaptable within a high pressure environment.
This role will undertake Deployment Lead activities and have the following outcomes/accountabilities:
Design, develop, implement, and maintain a robust deployment approach and strategy to meet project objectives.
Define stakeholder responsibilities regarding the deployment process including the role of business stakeholders, implementation partners and third-party services.
Conduct release planning workshops and prioritise business areas for deployment including data migration considerations.
Coordinate deployment stakeholders, including business staff who are impacted, project team members, and implementation partners, to ensure deployment deliverables, logistics, requirements and objectives are met.
Develop and maintain deployment related documentation including but not limited to:
mock/dress rehearsal and production deployment and acceptance plans, schedules, metrics, work plans, resource plans, cutover entry/exit plans, Go/No-Go checklists.
Prepare and conduct mock/dress rehearsal deployment walk-throughs with key stakeholders.
Monitor, control and report on deployment results, including progress tracking and metrics.
Identify and manage deployment-related risks and issues, escalating as necessary to ensure timely resolution.
Implement and advocate for deployment best practices, including continuous improvement, automation and agile methodologies where applicable.
Ensure compliance with organisational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements related to deployment, change management and quality assurance.
Mandatory Requirements:
5+ years demonstrated experience working on enterprise level ICT projects in a similar capacity in a large, complex organisation.
Proven ability to collaborate with implementation partners to design, gain approval for and implement the entire deployment lifecycle for a transformation-focussed project.
Experience in managing interdependencies and ensuring alignment between all deployment-related activities.
Demonstrated ability to manage conflict and build consensus among many stakeholders including business, technical groups and implementation partners.
Possess strong customer service, organisational, and prioritisation skills.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks with attention to detail and meet deadlines simultaneously.
Exceptional interpersonal skills: negotiation, team building, positive thinking, can-do attitude, and job flexibility.
