We are expanding our team and looking for a dedicated and experienced female Disability Support Worker with a nursing background to join our growing team. Key Responsibilities:
* Provide personal care, including showering, dressing, grooming, and medication assistance, according to individual care plans.
* Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and other manual handling tasks.
* Perform basic health monitoring, such as checking vital signs and wound care, as required by nursing training.
* Support clients with their daily activities, including meal preparation, household tasks, and social participation.
* Ensure the emotional and mental well-being of clients through empathetic support and companionship.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals, case managers, and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
* Maintain accurate client records, including progress notes and incident reports.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Cert III/IV in Disability, Aged Care, or equivalent.
* Nursing qualifications (RN or EN) or relevant nursing experience required.
* Previous experience in disability support or community care preferred.
* Current First Aid and CPR certifications.
* Manual handling and medication administration knowledge.
* A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong understanding of cultural sensitivities and diverse client needs.
* A caring, empathetic, and patient approach to working with clients.

Job Types: Part-time, Subcontract, Casual, Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $24.67 – $38.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week

* First Aid Certification (Required)
* Working with Children Check (Preferred)
* NDIS Worker Screening Check (Required)
* National Police Certificate (Required)
* Driver Licence (Required)
