Our network is the backbone of the NEM, enabling energy trading between Australia's three largest states along the east coast and supporting the competitive wholesale electricity market.About the role: This is a fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated & dynamic individual to join the team at Lumea as a Contracts Manager in our Commercial Delivery Team. LUMEA is a Transgrid Group brand focused on renewable energy solutions in the competitive energy market.The Contracts Manager is responsible for managing program controls and contract administration services to provide control and mitigation of time, cost and revenue risks of Customer proposals and projects to protect project returns.Key Responsibilities: Contract Management: Manage contractual variations, claims and governance processes for the successful delivery of customer contracts over the construction phase.Cross Team Collaboration: Provide Contract Management Plans and Best Practice advice for handover of contracts from Lumea to the project delivery teams.Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain effective working relationships with all relevant stakeholders.Proactive Problem Solving: Assist project teams with development of commercial strategy and resolution of major issues and lead negotiations on major issues.Reporting and Advisory: Ensure all audit and other reporting and regulatory obligation requirements are actioned within agreed timeframes.Position requirements: Minimum of 5-10 years' experience in the construction and engineering industry, with significant experience as a Contracts Manager or Commercial Manager.Extensive proven experience and skills in managing contracts of large capital infrastructure projects, including the oversight of governance of project controls.Highly developed capability and proven experience in networking with multi-disciplinary matrixed teams.Advanced interpersonal and negotiation skills (oral and written) to provide specialist technical and commercial advice during bid development and project delivery.Strong commercial background with understanding of the nuances in negotiation to help a bid team win new business, whilst balancing risk and governance.Knowledge of contracting and subcontracting principles, cost control and forecasting, and risk management.Extensive experience with preparation and close-out of construction claims.Extremely adaptable in a changing environment.Ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders is required.Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline and/or extensive appropriate experience in a capital-intensive industry including build, own, operate and maintain contracts.Recognition & Reward: In return for your hard work, we have numerous benefits and initiatives to support you personally and professionally including but not limited to private health insurance discount, motor vehicle lease plan, career development support and workplace flexibility.LUMEA is creating a smarter energy future for Australia.
