I am currently working with an Australian peak body, representing people management and human resource professionals. This membership association sets HR standards and certifies HR professionals across Australia.
They are looking for an experienced Marketing and Communications Manager to support with shaping their image, promoting services, and driving growth in the marketplace. This position also manages and provides leadership to a Marketing and Communications team that are responsible for a range of functions including brand management, advertising, digital marketing, content creation, public relations, and market research.
Marketing, Brand and Communications Responsibilities
1. As guided by the organisation's strategic plan and organisation’s priorities, develop, and deliver strategies, key positioning messages, and opportunities for leveraging marketing and communications through the line.
2. Support local internal/external events including creation, promotion, and communications.
3. Constantly improve communication and digital strategies by optimising publishing partnerships, web presence, social media digital e-communications, and SEO/SEM strategies.
4. Develop briefs for agency partners, and deliver exceptional communications solutions focused on customer needs and product and services benefits.
5. Develop and approve of all marketing and communication activity assets produced in terms of content, brand, accuracy, and timeliness across various channels, including social media, email marketing, SEO, and events.
6. Build relationships with variety of stakeholders both internal and external to create engaging campaigns for specific audiences.
7. Undertake a range of management functions including but not limited to coaching and mentoring the current 3 direct reports, leave management and performance management.
8. In conjunction with GM Sales, Marketing and Events, monitor marketing budgets, financial reporting, and forecasts.
Experience
9. Experience in a similar Marketing and Communications role which is responsible for developing and implementing measurable strategies
10. Strong stakeholder engagement.
11. Comfortable in a technical role with strategic leadership overview.
12. Experience working with Agencies and managing briefs.
13. Track record of success in developing media and PR strategies.
14. Great time management and organisational skills.
15. Comfortable operating with ambiguity.
