The Spot for Speech Pathology is a clinic-based and mobile paediatric speech pathology practice servicing the Hunter Valley Region. We pride ourselves on providing a friendly, flexible, supportive and rewarding work environment that enables our staff members to provide quality evidence-based services to our clients in a personalised and engaging way. Our practice provides services for children up to 18 years of age across a range of clinical areas including speech, language, literacy, stuttering and social communication. We work closely with families, carers, teachers, support staff, and others who may be involved in our client’s care to ensure a holistic approach is taken to allow them to reach their full potential. Our work is comprised of client sessions within our Kurri Kurri clinic, and external visits to our client’s preschools, schools, and homes. We also offer full-day school-based programs.
About the Role
We are searching for fresh and motivated team members to join our small supportive team. Full-time or part-time positions are available as desired. New graduates and experienced clinicians are encouraged to apply. As a family-friendly workplace, there is flexibility within the roles including opting to work school hours only, having time off with your family during school holiday periods and/or spreading your working hours out over the week depending on your preference. The position can be tailored to best meet your needs and will be remunerated accordingly.

What will you do at The Spot for Speech Pathology?
* provide individualised and engaging paediatric speech pathology services to assess, diagnose, and manage clients with communication disorders and difficulties in the areas of speech, language, literacy, stuttering and play skills
* use a range of different service delivery models including one-on-one and small groups across various settings
* provide an evidence-based best practice service within professional, legal and ethical parameters
* adhere to The Spot for Speech Pathology’s policies, procedures, and guidelines
* participate in community education and promotional activities
* carry out administration tasks as required by the practice
* enjoy your workdays!
Minimum Requirements:
* Bachelor of Speech Pathology (or equivalent)
* current Speech Pathology Australia Membership with Certified Practising Speech Pathologist status
* ability to work flexibly and independently within various service models and across various locations
* ability to confidently guide School Learning and Support Officers (SLSOs) within school-based programs
* excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt to suit the target audience
* demonstrate a continuous commitment to professional development
* eligibility for Medicare Provider Status
* current Working with Children Check
* current Child Protection Certificate (NSW Education Department)
* current First Aid Certificate with Anaphylaxis training
* cleared Australian National Police Check within the past 12 months
* current unencumbered drivers’ license with eligibility to drive in NSW in own reliable and comprehensively insured vehicle
