What you’ll do
7. Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate mutually beneficial agreements that align with customer needs and commercial objectives.
8. Develop and execute category plans that provide a clear roadmap for supply partners, ensuring effective collaboration and alignment.
9. Drive sales growth and profit improvement by implementing strategic category initiatives that optimise product offerings and merchandising strategies.
10. Identify and capitalise on opportunities that enhance customer satisfaction, streamline store operations, and reduce costs for Woolworths.
11. Continuously evaluate supplier capabilities, proactively seek new partnerships, and cultivate existing relationships to secure long-term competitive advantage.
What you’ll bring
12. Proven experience as a Category Manager in a large supermarket or FMCG environment, or as a high-performing Assistant Category Manager ready for a Category Management appointment.
13. Demonstrated success in developing and executing customer-focused category plans aligned with the divisional strategy and supported by sound commercial insights and data.
14. Strong negotiation and influence skills with cross-functional and external stakeholders at all levels of the business.
15. Ability to become an industry expert in the field of responsibility within Australia.
16. Passion for product and product development, staying at the forefront of innovation and continuous improvement.
