About the Role Join a dynamic team on an exciting wind farm project as an HV Technician. Reporting directly to the Lead Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and installation of high-voltage (HV) electrical systems critical to renewable energy production. Key Responsibilities: Perform installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of HV electrical systems. Conduct fault diagnosis and implement corrective actions to minimise downtime. Ensure compliance with safety protocols, electrical standards, and environmental regulations. Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders to optimise system performance. Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of electrical work and inspections. Participate in regular safety briefings and emergency response training. Requirements: Electrical trade qualification with HV experience (certifications/licenses required for QLD). Proven experience working on HV systems, preferably in the renewable energy sector or wind farms. Strong knowledge of electrical schematics, protection systems, and control systems. Familiarity with Australian electrical standards (AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 7000) and safety procedures. Current CPR/LVR certification and HV Switching certification (preferred). Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. A commitment to safety and teamwork. Actively participate in WHSE, toolbox and daily pre-start meetings. Assist in the completion of HV scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. Assist in maintaining wind farm Balance of Plant equipment. What We Offer: $84 per hour penalties. $65 LAHA per day.
