Reports to: Chief Executive Officer The Multicultural Hub Administrator role is an exciting and rewarding role that is responsible for supporting the development of ethnic organisations and individuals in relation to the social and cultural life of their communities. Working in a small team environment, this impactful role is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Multicultural Hub, and MCOT Community Kitchen, including facility management, customer service, inductions and general office duties as directed. In addition to the facilitation of the Hub to costumers, this role is also in charge of the management of the MCOT Community kitchen, including compliance and logistical maintenance. This includes the role of Food Safety Supervisor, for which the successful candidate will receive the appropriate training. The role is also responsible for maintaining an accurate member database and for the creation of communication with our members. This role will also provide broader administration support for MCOT events and projects as required.
Role Responsibilities
Be in charge of the Multicultural Hub Reception, as the front person for Community and stakeholder engagement, Hub inductions and general information and services facilitation.
Coordination of day-to-day logistics for the Multicultural Hub and the MCOT Community kitchen, including facilities management, customer service, inductions and general office duties as required.
Developing and nurturing relationships with community members, suppliers, service providers and other stakeholder.
Provision of administration support for MCOT’s community events
Provide monthly Hub reports to the CEO, including relevant information required by funding bodies as required.
General administration support to the team.

Selection Criteria
Excellent communication skills: experience in customer service, preferably working with CALD communities and target groups (specifically refugees, migrants, international students and women).
Demonstrated experience working in a complex administration capacity.
Experience in effectively and accurately managing complex databases.
Positive, can-do attitude with ability to take initiative to support all aspects of the organisation.
Strong time management skills, with an ability to manage competing priorities and projects.
Demonstrated ability to articulate and act within the appropriate cultural context for many different cultural groups, to build cultural capacity within community.
High standard of written and verbal communication and collaboration skills, including oral and written communication, interpersonal and facilitation skills.
Ability to work both with a high degree of autonomy and within a team environment with flexibility and adaptability in a challenging yet rewarding working environment.
Actively contribute to positive teamwork in all areas of our organisation, in a truly inclusive and diverse workplace environment.
