Regional Director of Training (Northern Territory) About the role Our Regional Director of Training leads medical education for the Northern Territory, managing regional and local medical educator teams to ensure effective GP Training delivery. Reporting to one of the National Deputy Directors of Training, they drive regional alignment with RACGP goals, educational quality, and compliance with Department of Health KPIs while supporting workforce planning, cultural education, and supervisor training. Key stakeholders include local teams, registrars, supervisors, rural generalist coordination units, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations. As a Regional Director of Training, you'll: Lead the regional and local medical educator teams to deliver high-quality GP training and support registrar progression through exams and remediation processes. Drive workforce planning and manage training site capacity to meet regional needs, including developing and supporting Rural Generalist (RG) and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health training pathways. Oversee training site and supervisor accreditation, as well as provide educational support through workshops, supervisor training, and registrar exam preparation. Collaborate with the National Director of Training on strategic direction for the national educational program, ensuring compliance with RACGP and Department of Health KPIs. Skills & Experience Extensive experience in senior medical education roles. Proven leadership skills with a focus on team development. Strong stakeholder management and collaboration abilities.
