Be part of something BIG! At Novotel Devonport we are currently seeking a Guest Service Agent to join our Front Office team!
Overlooking the Mersey River, the Novotel Devonport boasts an unrivalled waterfront location, unique design, outstanding service and an exciting food & beverage concept.
As a Guest Service Agent, no two days are the same. You will assist our guests with all aspects of their arrival and departure experience, and everything in between - check in, check out, luggage assistance, and responding to guest requests - whilst at the same time, creating unforgettable heartfelt moments.
Job Description
* Be the first point of contact and greet guests with a warm welcome every time
* Provide exceptional service to our guests in every interaction by anticipating their needs, responding to requests promptly, efficiently, and courteously
* Make the check-in, check-out process run smoothly
* Maintain a high level of professionalism and ensure procedures are followed in relation to guest confidentiality, issuing of room keys, handling credit cards etc.
* Ensure the security of our guests and their possessions
* Handle guest complaints in a positive manner escalating as required
* Communicate effectively with other departments such as Housekeeping, Food & Beverage to assist guests in regard to room changes, dining bookings etc.
* Keep other members of front office team informed on guest feedback, requirements etc. during and on shift change
* Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and capabilities to increase the guest experience
Qualifications
* An energetic, team-focused and can-do attitude
* Enthusiasm to connect with guests and to hear their story
* Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
* High level of computer literacy
* Excellent attention to detail
* The ability to work across a 24/7 roster - evenings, mornings and weekends
