An exciting opportunity exists for a Clinical Nurse- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Identified to deliver clinical services within the Cultural Healing Program for consumers of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent, in accordance with the goals, policies and requirements of the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS).
The Cultural Healing Program provides mental health intervention and support to persons, suffering from or at risk of a mental health issue, in need of social, emotional, or cultural and or spiritual support, who identify as an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander. Support is also offered to non-indigenous family members.
Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:
* Contribute to work unit/service practice development related to area of expertise by actively participating in clinical education networks and working collaboratively with health care teams across the care continuum.
* Provide supervision and leadership to effectively assess, plan, manage and evaluate client outcomes at an advanced practitioner level.
* Work cooperatively and effectively through active participation in multidisciplinary teams and with patients/clients, their families, carers and other relevant stakeholders to provide high quality patient care and positively influence culture.
* Participate in forums aimed at increasing the co-ordination between agencies providing services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Remuneration value up to $131 900p.a., comprising salary between $107 960 - $115 604 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 6 (1))(Permanent Full-Time, 76hrs p.f). Applications will remain current for 12 months. Please note: only applications from candidates will be accepted (applications that may result in an agency fee will not be considered).
