Opportunity Snapshot: You will be working with cross-functional Agile teams on projects and extensional initiatives to implement new or enhanced functionalities of different Bupa Digital systems.
You will be involved in the planning, design, development, testing, and deployment phases of the frontend development lifecycle.
You will also collaborate with the product owners, business analysts, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to understand the user requirements and expectations.
You will be utilising your web front end skills to take responsibility for the delivery of high-quality, customer-facing visual and interactive elements which will be used in Bupa Digital systems.
You will be requested to contribute to development activities on .Net core applications and Azure.
Your Contribution: You will develop functional and appealing web applications and build reusable code and libraries for future use.
You will use modern JS frameworks such as ReactJS and NextJS to create dynamic and responsive web pages and UI components.
You will also use HTML5, CSS3, and styled components to create attractive and accessible web layouts and styles.You will ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability.
You will use tools like Axios or Fetch to communicate with backend APIs and handle errors and exceptions gracefully.
You will also use tools like Yarn, NPM, webpack, and unit test tools such as Jest and React Testing Library to manage your dependencies, build your application, and test your code quality and functionality.You will work on .Net Core API and web applications to deliver business requirements with high quality.
You will be responsible for website maintenance and enhancements.
You will use tools like Git to track, manage, and collaborate on your code changes and updates.
You will also use tools like Babel or SWC to ensure that your code is compatible with different browsers and devices.
You will also ensure that your code follows the best practices and standards of coding, testing, and documentation.You will assist juniors and peers in coding and troubleshooting.
You will participate in code reviews, pair programming, and feedback sessions to learn from others and improve your code quality.
You will also mentor and coach the junior developers and share your knowledge and experience with them.You will plan and organise your work effectively and efficiently.

You will also seek new opportunities and challenges to improve your skills and performance.You will communicate effectively and professionally with your team and stakeholders, building relationships and managing their expectations.Qualifications and training: 6+ years Front End Development experience including two years with React and Typescript • Solid understanding of Web Development fundamentals including semantic HTML, JavaScript (ES6+) and CSS/SCSS2+ years in API and integrationEvidence in the successful delivery of .Net core API, hence undertaking system analysis, solution (functional & Technical) design and feasibility activities.Cross-browser compatibility experience with all major browsers, operating systems and device typesUnderstanding of accessibility and experience developing to the AA levelExperience working with and coaching junior staffKnowledge of CSS-in-JS libraries such as Emotion, Styled componentsExperience with unit testing frameworks such as Jest and React Testing LibraryWorking experience with build tools such as Webpack, Vite, Rollup, etc.Experience with git version control and agile conceptsUnderstanding of internet security issues and mitigation strategiesExcellent problem-solving skills and willingness to learnWhat's in it for me?
