We are seeking a Commercial Manager to lead our Bonaparte CCS Commercial and Marketing efforts in Perth on a full-time permanent basis.

INPEX has recently invested in new energy ventures.
This includes acquiring a 50% share of Enel Green Power Australia, a company involved in developing and operating renewable energy projects, and creating Wheatbelt Connect, a nature-based solutions business.
Additionally, INPEX is pursuing carbon capture and storage (CCS) opportunities aimed at providing a cleaner upstream business for Ichthys LNG.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the Bonaparte CCS (BCCS) Commercial team.
Negotiation, development and execution of BCCS Project Governance, Operating and Marketing Agreements to facilitate effective operatorship, decision making, and marketing BCCS storage capacity (now and into the future).
Development of the commercial structure of BCCS with consideration of project financing, insurance, governance and risk and liability allocations among the CCS value chain.
Understanding value chain elements associated with importing CO2, including shipping, Darwin Middle Arm Sustainable Development Precinct interface, import terminal and storage, and executing appropriate commercial agreements in support of marketing capacity to international customers.
Understanding project economics, key risk and reward inputs and levers to optimise project returns.
Managing the BCCS Commercial Committee and associated meetings, workshops and discussions with the BCCS JV.
Obtaining timely alignment and approval from Tokyo for major project decisions.
Successful candidates will have:
Degree qualified in an Economics, Accounting, Commercial, Legal or other relevant discipline.
Significant experience in commercial or legal roles within the oil and gas industry.
Good understanding of economics and ability to use/modify economic models.
Previous knowledge of Project Governance agreements.
Previous knowledge of Project Customer agreements, such as SPA's, Processing Services Agreements, CA's, Heads of Agreements, etc.
Understanding of technical elements for project execution, particularly relating to Commercial interfaces.
Strong collaboration and integration skills with proven track record of working across other functions/departments to deliver best outcomes for the business.
