The Company, established in 1980, comprises of a strong Board, Executive group and a highly talented team of people with significant industry experience.About the roleReporting to the Lead Airborne Sensor Technician, the Assistant Airborne Sensor Technician is responsible for supporting, troubleshooting, and maintaining camera system assets within the MetroMap Business Unit. A key part of the role will also be providing training and guidance to Airborne Sensor Operators.Key Responsibilities•Undertake field technical and operational training of Airborne Sensor Operators, including the development of workflows, processes, and operational documentation for airborne capture systems.•Participate in all safety related checks and procedures.•Monitoring in flight quality of sensor data, trajectories, and overall flight performance, including QC of data and trajectories.•Assist in the routine maintenance and troubleshooting and configuration of sensors and repair of in-flight equipment.•Assist in troubleshooting, configuration & maintenance of field capture assets via remote & on-site diagnostics.•Assist in the transportation & deployment and logistics of airborne capture systems & ancillary equipment.•Assist with installation, alignment, calibration, and testing of field equipment.•Perform troubleshooting of airborne capture systems with internal & external stakeholders.•Interstate travel will be required as necessary to support and trouble shoot equipment.•Conduct any other reasonable duties as directed by Management.•Assist with ASO capture duties as required.About you•Tertiary qualification in Geospatial science or aviation related discipline.•Eligibility for Aviation Security Identification Card•Valid passport•Full driver’s license.•Prior experience supporting aerial survey technologies.•Experience with Microsoft Office products.•Keen interest in photographic principles, aviation & technology.•Knowledge of the setup & operation of survey equipment.•Previous experience in aerial survey operations strongly regarded.•Prior experience with Vexcel and IGI capture systems.Why Work with usWe understand that your career choices are important.
