Civica’s ArborSafe software and service is a cutting-edge tree management solution that empowers organizations with essential tools and expert guidance to effectively manage their trees.
We are currently seeking a Consulting Arborist to become a valuable member of our team. The position entails offering consulting services in VTA, tree risk assessment, works specification and pricing estimates, as well as being involved in development/construction services. As a Consulting Arborist, you will assume a pivotal role in client support, project organization, and the compilation of tree data and reporting. Additionally, you will have the chance to deliver training to clients and provide them with professional arboricultural advice, as well as help steer the future development of the ArborSafe software.
Key Responsibilities Include
* Perform tree assessments and generate/review tree data for a variety of arboricultural report types.
* Oversee client relationships and projects, ensuring timely completion and the delivery of high-quality work.
* Conduct or oversee tree diagnostic testing such as aerial assessments, PiCUS testing, pest and disease testing and more.
* Collaborate with customers, staff, contractors, and suppliers to meet service and project requirements.
* Provide expert advice to clients on arboricultural best practice and industry advancements.
* Deliver training sessions to clients and their staff on product usage.
* Handle administrative responsibilities, such as timekeeping and providing support to staff and management.

Requirements
What you will do to be successful in this role
* Hold a Diploma of Arboriculture (AQF5) (or enrolled on) or above, or an equivalent international qualification.
* Ideally have at least 3 years of experience in a consulting arborist role.
* Possess sound technical skills in tree biology, VTA, species identification, and remedial tree works.
* Ideally hold risk assessment qualifications such as QTRA, VALID and/or TRAQ.
* Demonstrate accurate pricing knowledge for pruning/removal operations.
* Show proficiency in IT and report writing.
* Display motivation to contribute to the growth of the consulting arm of the business.
* Maintain a good level of physical fitness and mobility to conduct tree assessments.
