Some of the larger towns in this area include Mackay, Bowen, Proserpine, Rockhampton, Yeppoon, Emerald, Longreach, Winton, Barcaldine, Blackall, Moranbah, and Clermont reporting to the Head of NBN Local - Queensland.The nbn Regional Development and Engagement Manager (RDEM) sits within the nbn Local team in the nbn Regional Development and Engagement (RDE) Business Unit. This role will be accountable for integrating with the community to lift the digital capability within a defined geographical region. This will be achieved through engaging strategically with internal and external stakeholders to develop and execute a regional strategy encompassing the region's community and business sectors.The nbn RDEM will establish and foster relationships with key external stakeholders within their region to maximise nbn's brand and reputation within the region and identify and execute against opportunities to create shared economic or social outcomes.The role involves developing and implementing regional strategies to boost engagement in the nbn. It aims to increase awareness and participation in nbn's network upgrade programs, thereby optimising investment and enhancing reputation in regional Australia. The role also involves driving awareness of nbn's new developments program among regional stakeholders and identifying new strategic opportunities. Relevant co-investment collaborations are identified and developed, supporting project delivery from construction to activations. Insights are captured and shared internally to ensure that partnerships, programs, campaigns, and nbn's product roadmap align with the needs of rural and regional customers.A bit about youThe role requires a candidate with good experience in senior roles involving complex stakeholder management and business development. The candidate must demonstrate exceptional stakeholder management skills, with experience working with external stakeholders such as the community, business, and government. They should have the ability to apply highly developed communication skills to influence a range of stakeholders, including the media.The candidate should be able to work collaboratively in a large matrix organisation, aligning cross-functional teams towards key regional objectives.
