Our client requires a support-focused Payroll Officer to join their team on the Southern Gold Coast. This position will require a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills and the ability to work in a high-volume environment. Your new role
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be an integral member of the team for a 12-month contractual period, with the possibility of permanency once the contract is complete.
Your duties will include:
* Processing and performing the timely compilation of all payroll functions of wages and salary employees in a weekly and fortnightly process.
* Maintain all payroll data, files and personal information in accordance with privacy legislation.
* Support system and process improvements throughout the Payroll department.
* Assist with auditing the existing payroll processes.
* Provide support to the Payroll Manager with any adhoc duties.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will have proven experience operating as a Payroll Officer within a large-sized company and have a great work ethic.
Key skills will include:
* Minimum of 2-3 years experience in an end-to-end payroll processing
* Knowledge of manual and computerised payroll systems
* Experience with a time and attendance recording system is highly desirable.
* Advanced level experience with Excel and Word
* Great communication skills, organisation, and ability to multitask.
* Good computer literacy and numerical data processing speed and accuracy
* Problem analysis and resolution skills
* Excellent time management skills.
