As the Clinical Governance Board Director, you will be a key member of the Board, responsible for overseeing the governance framework for clinical quality and safety across the organisation.
You will provide strategic leadership and guidance, ensuring the clinical governance processes are robust, effective, and aligned with our mission to provide exceptional care to our residents and clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Governance and Strategic Oversight: Contribute to the effective governance of Churches of Christ in Queensland, participate in formulating strategic directions, and approve strategic plans.
* Executive Leadership: Engage in the recruitment and performance management of the Chief Executive Officer, ensuring alignment with our mission and strategic objectives.
* Financial Stewardship: Review, approve, and monitor business plans and annual budgets, ensuring financial sustainability and accountability.
* Policy Development: Contribute to the development of Board and organisational policies that promote best practices and compliance with regulatory standards.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Support stakeholder engagement and networking on behalf of Churches of Christ in Queensland, enhancing our community presence and partnerships.
Eligibility Criteria
* A committed Christian with a dedication to the mission and objects of Churches of Christ in Queensland.
* Ability to satisfy standards and legal requirements set by relevant authorities.
* Capacity to commit to the time and tasks required of a Board member.
* Not an employee or independent contractor of Churches of Christ in Queensland at the time of appointment or during the previous 24 months.
Remuneration
Directors are remunerated to attract and retain appropriately qualified individuals.
The base fee includes involvement in at least one committee.

* Resume detailing current and prior executive and Board positions, including areas of responsibility.
* Academic and professional qualifications.
* Supporting statement outlining interest in the Board Director position and alignment with skills and experience.
* Statement of philosophy/approach to governance of Christian organisations.
Please note that the majority of Board members must be members of an Affiliated Church of Christ.
