Position Overview:
We are excited to announce a position of Retail Manager who will work at Mel Foods Pty Ltd. This role is responsible for selling products, providing expert advice to customers on product use, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. The Retail Manager will oversee all retail operations, ensuring safety and compliance with company standards. They will manage inventory, staff, and the store layout, while ensuring cost-effective and timely completion of projects.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
* Organizing and controlling all the operations of the retail outlet and warehouse
* Managing inventory, stock takes, daily reconciliation, banking, and other administrative duties as required
* Collaborating with owners to align retail strategies with organizational goals
* Developing and implementing strategies to drive sales and meet or exceed financial targets
* Product selection and setting up prices by implementing competitive purchasing and pricing policies to reduce expenditure and increase sales
* Organizing sales promotions and in-store events
* Analyzing sales and revenue reports and making forecasts
* Analyzing market trends to identify opportunities for growth
* Supervising and guiding staff towards maximum performance
* Resolving staffing issues and stock discrepancies
* Dealing with complaints from customers to maintain the store's reputation
* Ensuring the customer experience is positive, leading to new opportunities and repeat business
* Contributing to a safe and positive work environment
* Deciding which products to offer, how much stock to keep, and the level of customer service to provide
* Ensuring organizational policies and procedures are followed
* Effectively managing the store profit and loss and accurately forecasting resource demands
* Controlling costs without compromising standards and customer service
* Ensuring occupational health and safety guidelines are always maintained and adhered to by the staff
Qualifications and Experience:
* Diploma or higher in the relevant field
* At least one (1) year of relevant experience

* Salary commensurate with experience: $74,000 to $78,000 plus guaranteed superannuation
