A vacancy currently exists within the WHS Compliance and Field Services, Moreton Sunshine Coast Wide Bay Region for an Operations Manager (Construction) who will be responsible for managing a team of construction inspectors in the Maroochydore Sunshine Coast office.

As an Operations Manager within Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WHSQ), you will be part of an efficient, flexible, and responsive team that strives for safer workplaces.
Some Of Your Responsibilities Will Include:
* Lead a team of Inspectors in a regulatory environment.
* Interpret and apply complex legislation.
* Identify and enforce breaches of legislation.
* Produce and review briefs of evidence.
* Educate a broad range of industry sectors to ensure they are compliant with Work Health and Safety legislation.
* Work autonomously and be part of a high-functioning team.
* Be adaptable and lead significant workplace change.
To Be Successful In This Role You Will Need:
* Strong complex writing skills or demonstrated ability to read, interpret, apply, and elementize legislation in a regulatory capacity and a demonstrated ability to write investigative reports.
* Prior demonstrated experience in applying workplace health and safety protocols, community enforcement, or other regulatory enforcement would be highly regarded.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills, including the ability to deal with and diffuse conflict and liaise with the community around sensitive matters.
* Strong time management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and lead others.
This role will challenge and develop your ability to engage with stakeholders, lead others, partner, and educate the community in safety matters, and ensure compliance within a regulatory framework.
