PX Resources is exclusively working with a well-established not-for-profit (NFP) in Sydney’s Inner West.
You will be joining a reputable and stable organisation and will have the opportunity to lead the risk function working directly with the Executive team.
This is a stand-alone role and will require a candidate that will roll up their sleeves.
Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, your responsibilities will be:
Implementing, managing and reviewing the risk management framework that aligns with overall business strategy and risk appetite
Managing the implementation of all aspects of the risk function including implementation of processes and procedures, tools and systems to identify, assess, measure and monitor risk
Designing and overseeing the implementation of key controls
Identifying current and emerging risks and taking actions to mitigate or manage risks
Implementing and maintaining an insurance program that meets the organisation’s coverage requirements
Developing business continuity framework and maintaining business continuity and emergency management plans
Facilitating the promotion of a strong culture of risk awareness and management with a focus on training and mentoring staff
Preparing and reporting on risk and governance to the Board and all relevant Committees
We are looking for an experienced risk professional that has ideally worked in a lean environment:
Background in risk management and internal audit
Experience working in not for profit, aged care, health services, education, utilities will be highly regarded
A hands-on approach, willing to roll up your sleeves and deliver
Prior experience reporting to executives and board (ideal)
Relevant tertiary education
