Our clinic boasts all the toys and gadgets you’ll need to offer the highest of standards in medicine and surgery, in a purpose-built facility with free and plentiful parking.
A little about your new team…
In a nutshell, your new crew are bubbly yet task focused, enjoy being challenged with a varied case load and supported in their pursuits of continued education, and are just a whole lot of fun!
Jess, your experienced Practice Manager, has passions in surgery and mentoring our fabulous nursing team. She is eagerly awaiting a co-captain to help her steer the ship.
(NB: water-based activities are optional but bad puns and ‘Dad jokes’ are compulsory!)
Anna compliments your vet team, and has a special touch with our feathered friends. She’s always up for a new challenge and has great stories to tell during surgery.
Georgia is another talent vet who has recently joined our team. With a special interest in complex diabetes case management, she is a wonderful asset to our patients.
Nurse Allyce is our ‘always on the ball’ all-rounder and a social butterfly, and nurse Ryan brings the laughter as our animal attendant and jack of all trades. Allyce and Ryan are always ready to play with the patients and create such a positive vet visit for our furred friends.
Job Description
This opportunity is best suited to a veterinarian with at least 4 years post-graduation experience, who has demonstrated strong clinical leadership and proven management skills, a desire to nurture the development of junior vets and nurses if required, and is comfortable consulting, diagnosing and treating companion animals with autonomy.
Bonus points (and the first round of coffee on us) if you have good time management and you’re an approachable coach, or should we say ‘Captain’, who’s natural style is to mentor in a collaborative manor.
Using evidence-based diagnoses, therapies and recommended courses of treatment, you are empowered to manage cases with the collaboration and mentoring both to and from your colleagues and on-hand advice from our Specialist network, as even the most senior of Vets can learn new tricks!
Leadership doesn’t have to be all consuming, so you’ll design your roster with Jess that offers a balance to your work and personal needs. No late nights or excessive weekends, just a 4 or 5 day week and the odd weekend rotation.
You’ll also have an experienced Area Manager, Regional Clinical Director and state General Manager to help cover the management, clinical standards and financial elements of your role. That’s the great part about your clinic being in the Greencross network - you’re not in this alone!
(And yes, these three are just as quirky as your clinic team… maybe even slightly more so).
Qualifications
While we are a super fun crew, our standards of care are no joke to us, so to be considered for this role you must hold a Veterinary degree from a university accredited by the Australasian Veterinary Boards’ Council (AVBC) and/or have completed NAVLE, AVE or alike examinations, and at all times be committed to delivering fear-free, compassionate and industry leading health care and advice to our patients and their loving families.
