115,899 - $130,733 + up to 15.4% SuperannuationCampbell Park - ACTThe Role As an EL 1 Software Developer within the Directorate of Logistics Performance Improvement, you will be integrated into a team of Logistics Specialists and Data Analysts to deliver complex logistics business intelligence outcomes for Defence. You will be the lead developer in the implementation of strategies and the evaluation of business outcomes, in the form of web-based logistics management tools, to ensure Defence is able to meet its legislative and reporting requirements in accordance with the Defence Inventory and Asset Assurance Framework.
You will apply user-centered design concepts and web best practices to transition the current range of logistics management tools from current Defence Logistics Information Systems to Systems Applications and Products (SAP) Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software. The role requires a good understanding of data-based analysis and decision making.
About our Team The Directorate of Logistics Performance and Improvement (DLPI) is a dynamic team that is involved in a wide range of logistics improvement initiatives across Defence. The Directorate provides the Executive Director Logistics Assurance (EDLA) and Commander Joint Logistics (CJLOG) with the capability to lead reform by identifying and implementing logistics improvement activities across JLC and the wider DLN.
Much of the Directorate's work to date has involved the identification of strategies to remediate existing logistic concerns identified by the Australian National Audit Office (ANAO) and the Defence Integrity Division. The Directorate is now actively involved in business improvement initiatives in the Joint Logistics Units and wider Defence, including volumetrics and supporting the preparation and implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
