Established in 1874, we have grown to become the world leader in mining and civil blasting with a diverse team of more than 13,000 across the world.It’s an exciting time to join us – we are shaping the future of mining through digital and automated technologies, embracing new ways of thinking, pioneering innovation and reimagining the way we work.About the roleThe Fitter - Asset provides maintenance and reliability support for the mobile fleet equipment and plant to deliver sustainable revenue and effective cost management.What you will be doingKey Accountabilities:Schedules servicing, repairs, alterations and breakdown maintenance.Ensures the maintenance of MMUs and fixed plant conform to SAP PM.Knows and adheres to relevant procedures, statutory requirements and codes (AEC, ADG, MPU, AS2187).Continually reassesses risks associated with regional operation and maintenance processes taking appropriate corrective action as required.Provides Product Pump rebuild.Mentors staff and local service contractors in the support of Orica’s Operations.Supports local area Field Support Technician.Provides onsite and phone based technical support.Assists Lead - Asset, Supervisor - Maintenance and Territory Managers as required.Provides feedback to Lead - Asset on common mode failures and communicate appropriate actions.Compiles Alerts and bulletins for continuous improvement and corrective action tasks.What you will bringGenerally up to 2 years experience.Role dependent - technical &/or functional business system applications required for tasks (e.g. SAP, SF, Concur, analytics/visualisation tools, engineering software, etc.)Role dimensionsSphere of influence: Task level SMEYour qualificationsRole dependent - add formal / tertiary qualifications if required.
