Position: MR Truck DriversStart: ImmediateLocation: Coffs HarbourFull time hours$44.14 per hour + SuperGovernment Role – Heavy Truck Driver. Operate Traffic Control Pod Trucks and perform Road Worker Grade 3 duties, implementing traffic control for maintenance and incident response. Requires a specially endorsed heavy vehicle license for transporting bulky goods. Registration/licensing essential.Key accountabilities:Contribute to the safety of the team by actively participating in the implementation of Traffic Guidance Schemes for Static and Dynamic sites.Stop or direct road users using a STOP/SLOW bat or other accepted traffic control device.Set up, monitor, and close down traffic control devices according to nominated TGS.Conduct an onsite check of a TGS to identify risks and hazards.Identify safety implications of traffic control at roadworks.Check, clean and store equipment on completion of work and close down a TGS.Ensure spacing between signs and traffic control devices is in line with a TGS.Participate in team meetings, planning and activities to support continuous improvement and the achievement of work goals. Solve routine problems that arise, referring to standard guidelines and manuals, and collaborate with supervisors and managers to resolve complex problems to ensure risks are minimised and work goals are achieved.Understand and maintain knowledge of WHS legislation, policies and procedures, assessing and controlling risks, record management and industry requirements to minimise risk and model safe work behaviour.Assess and respond to changes in the environment, e.g. traffic volumes, weather conditions, road conditions, WHS and operational requirements.To be successful you will require:Current MR Truck LicenseWhite CardWorkers on Foot (or willing to obtain)Traffic Control ticket preferredChainsawThis assignment will run up until end of Dec 2024 with the potential to be extended.If you meet the above criteria, please forward your resume by clicking on the Apply Now button!
