The Project Officer will work collaboratively to shape and implement processes, driving the growth and operational excellence of Australia’s first ever Primary Care Trials Unit.

About the Role Join our dynamic and innovative team at the Primary Care Trials Unit (PCTU) in the Department of General Practice and Primary Care. This is a unique opportunity for a skilled Project Officer to contribute to the growth and success of our research endeavours. As part of a passionate team of over 30 members, you'll be at the forefront of developing and establishing processes that drive the expansion of high-quality trials in primary health care and health services.Collaborate with us to make a meaningful impact, while working alongside prestigious practice-based research networks that are dedicated to improving health equity and access to clinical trials.
Your responsibilities will include:
4. Working closely with the PCTU Advisory Committee members and the PCTU Operations Manager to establish a 12-month Unit development plan for operational enhancements.
5. Support both the development of a model for engagement with industry and begin to develop relationships with new potential industry partners for trials.
6. Support the establishment of PCTU's standard operating procedures, process maps, and systems aligned with the National Clinical Trials Governance Framework.
Who We Are Looking For
You're adept at prioritising tasks in a fast-paced setting, problem-solving proactively, fostering teamwork, and maintaining confidential communication.
You will also have:
7. Completion of a degree-level qualification with subsequent relevant work-related experience or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience and/or education/training.
8. Proven experience working as a project coordinator or business development officer (or similar).
9. Demonstrated experience in trial management, its principles and practices.
10. Proven experience in leading complex projects through their planning, launch and execution phases (preferably in a healthcare or clinical trial setting).
