Your new role As the Maintenance Manager you will ensure the manufacturing facility runs smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for the maintenance and reliability of the plant equipment and facilities. Key Duties: Lead maintenance activities to reduce downtime and boost productivity. Create and enforce preventative maintenance schedules aligned with production needs and Australian Standards. Guide and develop the maintenance team of 5, promoting a strong safety culture. Quickly address machinery breakdowns with efficient repairs. Oversee spare parts inventory to ensure readiness for critical repairs. Champion continuous improvement efforts to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency. Ensure all maintenance complies with HACCP, Quality Systems, and health and safety regulations. Perform regular equipment inspections and audits to proactively resolve potential issues. Work with production and engineering teams to meet operational goals and deliver projects. Investigate and report incidents, implementing measures to prevent recurrence What You Need to Succeed Trade qualification in mechanical fitting, maintenance, or a related field. Experience in a maintenance management role in the FMCG or food manufacturing sector. In-depth technical knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, automation systems, and mechanical processes. Proven leadership experience with a focus on accountability and excellence. Ability to design and implement preventative maintenance programs. Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices. Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills under pressure. Certifications in working at heights and confined spaces are a plus. Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
